This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday April 29

10:30 AM  –  12:00 PM

Visible mending is a great way to lengthen the lifespan of your clothes through unique, personalized embroidery, weaving, and patching. Bring clothes with small holes or tears and practice a Sashiko stitch, embroidery darning, and patching with local artist (and BMI educator) Jesse Lentzwiler. Hand sewing experience is preferable but not required. Suitable for ages 12+. Registration includes museum admission (open 9 AM-3 PM). Participants should bring clothes to mend and are welcome to bring their own needles, pins, thread, scissors, darning egg or mushroom, embroidery floss and embroidery hoops.
