Join the BMI and special guest speaker, Chris Blume, for an afternoon presentation about the connection between urban ecology and industry in Baltimore—using bats! His research uses local bat species as biomonitors to understand the distribution of heavy metal pollutants across the city and their effect on both human and wildlife communities.

Chris is a graduate student in the UMBC Geography and Environmental systems department, and is excited to share his research, including recordings of bats at the BMI.

This program is FREE to BMI members, and open to the public with general admission. Purchase your ticket(s) today!

*This program does not include live bats.
